Gerardo Noriega is the President and Chief Executive Officer of PercAssist. In his role, he drives the company's vision, strategy, and innovation pipeline for its PercAssist eVAD™ System. A respected scholar, entrepreneur, and innovator, Gerardo is dedicated to advancing the medical device industry, leveraging his comprehensive experience to bring life-saving technologies from concept to commercialization.
Gerardo has founded five medical device companies, including ReVascular Therapeutics (acquired by Boston Scientific), PROSTIS, PerfusionRx, GVMED Incubator, and PercAssist. He’s also consulted with over 50 companies throughout Silicon Valley. His approach to technology development is guided by a "Vision and Execution" philosophy, ensuring clinical therapies are enhanced and healthcare costs are reduced.
Gerardo's passion extends beyond his entrepreneurial ventures to actively inspiring future generations in Biotechnology. This commitment is evidenced by his significant involvement with Santa Clara University, where he serves on the Board of the School of Bioengineering and was an Adjunct Professor of Bioengineering at the Bannan Graduate School of Engineering. He received a B.S in Industrial and Systems Engineering from San Jose State University.
